The Backstory

    In August of 2011, I received a phone call that would change the rest of my life.

A friend from church called me at work and said that I needed to come home immediately! I responded "What is wrong?" I thought that one of my children passed away. He began to tell me that my home was on fire and that pretty much everything was gone. 

When I arrived after finding that my family was safe, I rushed into the house and could not help but think "My things" our whole life was in the room where the fire started. God used this tragic event to show me that those things that I once valued were Idols. But I still persisted in my ways.

A few months later I received a phone call on a Thursday evening in which I learned that my friend David Mann passed away in a car crash. When I went to work I didn't do anything but look at his post and pictures on Facebook and my prayer was "God, you don't need more musicians, producers, or film makers. You need more men like David who preached the Gospel faithfully" It was then that I began to repent and pray for urgency. The songs on the "After the Fire" EP/LP or whatever we decide to make it are a collection of that time to now. Please Enjoy.
